This first volume follows the fighting in northern Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Peru, focusing on the Argentine contribution to independence but also including material on Chile and Peru.
Volume 1 contains an historical overview of the campaigns and battles, a description of the armies, tactics and leaders who fought in the wars, the organization and uniforms used by the armies and 12 scenarios that can be played using any tactical level Napoleonic rules set. Includes 72 illustrations by Argentine military artist Cesar Puliafito, illustrations of flags used by the various armies and charts showing the uniform of every unit in every battle covered within the scenarios.
